You may use most shopping cart systems on our Linux web hosting servers. There is also a pair of nice free shopping carts in the control panel that install with a click of your mouse.

You may use .htaccess or if you are using front page, you would use front page directory protection features. It is simple to use our control panels password protect directories function. Please remember, this will not work with front page sites, as front page overwrites the .htaccess file.

Front page is no longer being supported by microsoft. We can not gaurantee that front page extensions will work on a new account. They stopped supporting this last year, and want everyone to stop using it by Jan. 2008.

This is microsofts new product, and replaces front page. This should work on our servers without issues.

Same cost as a domain hosted account. A great way to get a website on the net and see if it is for you. No added cost of a domain name.

You can choose any of the accounts above as a sub-domain,
i.e.. yourname.superior-host.com, or yourname.1-sh.com, etc. We use the server name for the main domain part, and add your site name in front of it.
The sub-domain eliminates InterNIC fees and they have all of the features of the web hosting plan you choose above. Free sub domains are listed below. You can NOT create free sub domains from within a sub domain main account.

FREE sub.domains
These are within your main domains site disk space, and use your e-mail and traffic. You must have your own domain hosted to use this feature - it will not work if you have a sub domain main account. Just set them up in your control panel as you need them.

Example: http://sales.mystore.com is the same as http://mystore.com/sales
The limit depends on your disk space.
You can also add Free extra FTP users to these sub domains so they can upload only to that directory, and not able to access the rest of your site. There is no e-mail services for these free sub domains, but you can create a redirect through your mail account manager.

We run a back up of all site data daily, early a.m.. However, you can download a site back up at any time from your control panel. This allows you to have a copy on hand in case you need it, and we recommend this back up over ours.
Our back ups are in case of disk failure, and it is not simple to retrieve a single sites data. There is no cost to use the feature inside your control panel. Please keep a current backup of your website on your PC for your safety.
MySQL Database backup:
You can backup your data bases from your control panels backup area also. You should always back up your data bases.

These are domains that point to your main domain. They have no account options or server space, they simply point to your main domain, and redirect e-mail to your main domain.
We can also redirect these to sub directories within your main site if you wish.
You can submit them to search engines too. Most web hosting companies charge a monthly fee for sub domains, and redirected domains.
At superior-host.com , you get them for no monthly fee as long as you have your web hosting account with us.

Add on domains are basically for hosting another site, within your main site space. In most of our plans, you can use the add on domain link in your CPanel to create a new site within your site. Add on domains have their own stats and email, done through your main control panel. They do NOT get a cpanel of their own.
